David M. DiMatteo has practiced law in Wyoming County for over 28 years. His practice frequently has him working in neighboring counties of Allegany, Erie, Genesee, and Livingston. David is noted for having a deep knowledge of the local communities and the issues concerning our residents, municipalities and businesses.
In 1993, David founded the Private Practice in General Law, and has extensive experience specializing in many areas including: Matrimonial and Family Court Law, Corporate, Real Estate Law, Municipal Law and Estates.
David is a lifetime resident of Western New York and is highly regarded for his work representing several local municipalities as legal counsel or as prosecutor. He has represented municipalities in dealing with big box stores; siting of windmills, prohibiting the siting of windmills, writing and adopting local law; creating and financing of water districts. He is experienced in working with municipalities in the grant writing and bid process and has worked with New York State Senate to change the tax cap.
His work with businesses has included creation of Corporations and Limited Liability Corporations and establishing of Real Estate Holding Corporations, addressing anything from financing to rentals and evictions.
David is known for his hard work, commitment, as well as his tenacious drive to ensure his clients receive the most favorable and just outcome.
